Mashable says 37 percent more Americans are reading blogs and using social media on smartphones now than just a year ago. At this rate, whatever you’re spending on mobile marketing, spend more.
Pro: Mobile apps may offer a way to reduce hospital readmissions by helping patients monitor diabetes and congestive heart failure symptoms in their home.
Con: Smartphones are still too expensive for some patients.
Pro: When you host a healthcare seminar for the public, you can use mobile location-based services to let patients in the area know you’ve got it going on.
Con: Users may forget to silence their phones during your event.
Kudos to the New York Philharmonic conductor who stopped the music when someone in the front row wouldn’t turn his ringing cell phone off.
Pro: You can reach your audience in a more timely fashion. You take your mobile phone with you when you’re out just for fun. Not your laptop.
Con: Distracted drivers threaten our safety on the road as much as those who are legally drunk.
Hats off to St. Vincent Health for their campaign “Drive now. Text later.”
Pro: 87 percent of C-level executives use their smartphone to read blogs and use social media.
Con: They’re on the go so you have to be brief.
They’re maneuvering around your website with just two thumbs. So larger navigation buttons and fewer but compelling words are good.
Pro: Google Analytics can tell you how your mobile audience is growing to guide you in how much to invest.
Con: It won’t make any difference how much you spend on mobile if your content is boring.
